As the main rest camp of Addo Elephant National Park, this popular camp is the hub of the park where most of the activities take place. There is a shop and a restaurant – the Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro – a swimming pool and a variety of accommodation options. The waterhole lookout point inside the camp is floodlit at night, allowing game viewing all through the night and day. An underground hide offers opportunities for close encounters with wildlife. Addo Rest Camp is located at the main entrance gate to the park.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.

A variety of self-catering accommodation options are available, including two guest houses with fully equipped kitchens.
The campsites for tents are small (3.5 x 4.5m) and accommodate only tents and between 2 and 4 persons per site. A 220V power point is provided. Extra vehicles are charged an additional fee. Visitors to provide their own tents and camping equipment. Communal ablution facilities are available.

Two persons are accommodated in each of the Safari Tents, which are furnished with 2 single beds each. Linen and towels are supplied. Separate, shared ablution facilities as well as kitchen facilities are provided and there are 2-plate stoves, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils available in the shared kitchens.
The open plan cabins accommodate 4 persons on 4 single beds. Each cabin has a table and seating for 4 persons and there is a communal kitchen, equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and a fridge. Each unit has a bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin in each. Barbecue facilities are provided.
The Rondavels at Addo Rest Camp are furnished with 2 single beds and accommodate up to 2 persons each. Each rondavel has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin. The units are air-conditioned and equipped with a fridge. A communal kitchen with a 4-plate stove, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils is available. The Rondavels overlook the seasonal, floodlit waterhole.
A maximum of 2 persons are accommodated in the Cottages. There are two single beds and a bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin in each cottage. It has a kitchenette which is equipped with a bar fridge, 2-plate stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Even though there are no air-conditioners, the units are equipped with fans. Some of the cottages are accessible for those who are mobility challenged.
The chalets differ in size and accommodate between 2 and 3 persons in each. Each chalet has 2 single beds and some are furnished with a double sleeper couch to accommodate an additional person or children. The chalets are air-conditioned and have a bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin. Some chalets have baths as well. There is an open plan lounge and kitchen area and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering purposes with a fridge, stove, utensils, cutlery and crockery.
The Family Chalet has 1 bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds and a double sleeper couch in the lounge area, accommodating up to 4 persons. There is a fan in the bedroom and the lounge is air-conditioned. The chalet has a bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet and hand basin. There is an open plan lounge and kitchen area, and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering purposes with a fridge, stove, utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Accommodating between 4 and 6 persons, the Domkrag Guest House has 2 bedrooms of which one is furnished with a queen-size bed and the other with 4 single beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, one with a bath and one with a shower. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and there is a fan in the lounge area. The open plan kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave as well as utensils, cutlery and crockery. DSTV with limited channels is available.

As the main rest camp of Addo Elephant National Park, the Addo Rest Camp is the main hub of the park and located close to the main entrance gate. The reception of the park as well as a restaurant and shop are available to all visitors. The swimming pool is only available for overnight guests to use.
