The Woody Cape-section of the Addo Elephant National Park is situated in the Alexandria dune field, which is the largest and least degraded coastal dune field in the southern hemisphere. Stretching over a surface area of 15 800 ha, over 80km in length and up to 5km wide in some places, the dune system provides a unique and extraordinary wilderness experience of solitude, infinity and spatial freedom.

Umsintsi Cottage provides one-of-a-kind accommodation to two persons, overlooking the forest. The two Langebos Huts are booked simultaneously for those doing the hikes or a group preferring to have the entire camp to themselves.
This unique double story cottage provides self-catering accommodation to two persons. A fully equipped kitchen with dining facilities are available downstairs, while the upper level has a bedroom with a double bed and the en-suite bathroom. A private deck provides beautiful views over the coral trees below. Towels and bedding are provided and barbecue facilities are available.
Two basic huts, each furnished with a double bed and two single beds, are available at Langebos. The huts accommodate up to four persons each and are booked simultaneously to ensure privacy for each group. Each hut has a bathroom with a hot water shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped for basic food preparation with a fridge, 2-plate stove and utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided. Barbecue facilities are available.
Situated at the end of the first day’s hike, the Woody Cape Hut overlooks the sea and Bird Island. It is furnished with 12 beds and mattresses in two bedrooms. The rainwater tank supplies water for drinking and cooking only. Toilets are available.
The accommodation at Langebos is mainly used by hikers, doing the Alexandria Hiking Trail, but can also be booked by a group who want privacy and exclusivity. The facilities are basic but adequate for self-catering accommodation for groups.
Hikers are recommended to stay at Langebos Huts on the night before they start the Alexandria Hiking Trail and are allowed to add an additional two persons on mattresses.
Particularly popular with those who enjoy exploring on foot, the 7km Dassie Trail and 2-day Alexandria Hiking Trail depart from this section. Birders enjoy escaping to a private destination under a canopy of trees and those interested in botany, trees, ferns and mushrooms will appreciate staying at Langebos to explore the forest.
