This area is the latest addition to the Addo Elephant National Park and offers a home to wildlife such as kudu, bushbuck, caracal, bushpig and warthog as well as other smaller mammal species. Larger animals like the Burchell’s zebra, red hartebeest and buffalo have also been introduced to this area and because this part will eventually link up with the main Addo Park, wildlife will start to move naturally between the areas. Grassland areas were previously cleared pastures, and the vegetation consists mainly of Albany Thicket.
