Agulhas Rest Camp is located about 10 km from the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse. The reception of the park is located at 214 Main Road, in L’Agulhas. Agulhas Rest Camp is an intimate camp with chalets providing spectacular views on the sea.
Most visitors to Agulhas National Park prefer to stay in the Agulhas Rest Camp, as it was built in an environmentally friendly way to limit disturbance to the precious natural environment.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.

Self-catering accommodation is offered in chalets, family
chalets and single units. West of the Suiderstrand enclave, but still within
the greater Agulhas Rest Camp area, the Lagoon House offers accommodation
for 8 persons. All the accommodation units are serviced on a daily basis,
but guests are responsible for cleaning their own dishes. Bedding and towels
are provided.
Ten 1-bedroom units provide accommodation for 2 persons in each. The units have a bathroom, and an open plan kitchen and lounge, with limited DSTV. One of the chalets is adapted to accommodate those with mobility restrictions.
Agulhas Rest Camp offers accommodation to families in five 2-bedroom units, accommodating up to 4 persons in each. Each of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with a bath and shower. The open plan kitchen is equipped for self-catering purposes. A TV with limited DSTV-channels is available. One of the Family Chalets can accommodate a person with limited mobility.
The Lagoon House is located west of the Suiderstrand enclave, but still within the greater Agulhas Rest Camp Area. It accommodates up to 8 persons in 4 bedrooms and has breathtaking views of the sea.
There is a lounge area, overlooking the sea and an 8-seater dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge, microwave as well as cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. A patio with barbecue facilities is available.
Because the Agulhas Rest Camp is situated close to the town L’Agulhas, there are no facilities and amenities available at the camp. Reception is in town at 214 Main Street and there are shops, banks, restaurants, ATM’s, fuel stations and more available in L’Agulhas.
Self-drive outings and hikes into the park, where the wildlife, birdlife and extraordinary Fynbos of the region can be admired, is the main attraction of Agulhas National Park.
The historic Agulhas Lighthouse, which was built to aid early explorers on the rough seas off the most southern point in Africa, is another item on everyone’s to-do list. Remains of ancient stone fish traps, used by the Khoisan people and other historical sites can be visited when staying in Agulhas National Park.
