Rhenosterkop Rest Camp is located away from the sea on one of the oldest farms in the Strandveld, which was established in 1742 and named after the skull of a black rhino which was found in the area many years ago. The skull can still be seen in the Springfield Estate Museum.
The camp is situated off the Struisbaai/Elim road and 31 km from the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse and Reception of the Agulhas National Park. A 4x4 vehicle will be needed to travel along the gravel road leading to the cottages – especially during the rainy season stretching from June to September.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.
