Except for the 18 campsites on the banks of the Gariep
River, a traditional Nama matjieshuis and boma forms part of the Education
Centre at the camp. School groups can book the boma, which is located some
distance from the campsites to offer privacy to the campers.
Potjiespram Camp offers basic and rustic facilities within the breathtaking
landscape of rugged volcanic mountains and sandy beaches under the harsh sun.
The 18 campsites are well spread out along the river to afford some privacy to each site. Rustic, shared ablution facilities with cold showers are offered. A maximum of 6 persons and 2 vehicles are accommodated per campsite and an additional fee will be charged for more vehicles. There is no electricity or power points at Potjiespram.
