Located on the banks of the Gariep River, a few kilometres upstream from De Hoop Campsite, the Richtersberg is popular amongst those who enjoy the water flowing past their tents. The camp can only be reached with a 4x4-vehicle with a high ground clearance and is accessible from Sendelingsdrift, via the De Hoop Campsite. The route will take one over the Halfmens Pass and the Akkedis Pass and the Hand of God can be viewed along the way.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.

Popular amongst fishers, bird lovers and families, the Richtersberg Camp offers basic and rustic facilities with views over the rugged mountains on the Namibian side of the river and the Tatas Mountains on the South African side.
Six rustic campsites are available and shared ablution facilities with cold showers are offered. A maximum of 6 persons and 2 vehicles are accommodated per campsite and an additional fee will be charged for more vehicles. There is no electricity or power points at Richtersberg.
