The magic of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park lies in the endless red sand dunes, absolute silence, peace and tranquillity and the slow movement of wildlife through the savannah and thick sand. To provide exclusivity and the ideal circumstances for experiencing the Kgalagadi magic, there are several wilderness camps in the Park where a maximum of 8 persons can be accommodated.
Bitterpan Wilderness Camp is situated at a waterhole in the centre of the wilderness area and is uniquely suspended above the red dunes of the Kalahari. Because driving in the dunes is a challenge - even to the most experienced drivers - all the roads are one-way tracks to ensure safe and crash-free driving. The 4x4-track to Bitterpan connects to the Nossob - Mata-Mata track. It takes about 2 and a half to 3 hours to travel from Nossob to Bitterpan and even longer to reach the camp from Mata-Mata.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.
