Grootkolk Wilderness Camp is situated about six hours’ drive from Twee Rivieren Camp and 2 and a half hours from Nossob Camp. Check-in to Grootkolk must be done at Nossob Camp. Ensure there is sufficient time to travel from Nossob to reach Grootkolk before sunset, as driving after dark is not allowed, due to safety concerns.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.

The Desert Cabins at Grootkolk are built with bricks and canvas and each cabin has a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. Furnished with 2 single beds each, a maximum of 2 persons are accommodated in each cabin. Communal kitchen and barbecue facilities make Grootkolk the ideal place for a special occasion shared with family or friends.
Each of the rustic Desert Cabins are furnished with 2 single beds, accommodating up to 2 persons. A private bathroom with a shower and toilet is available and the water is heated by a gas geyser. Communal barbecue facilities and a shared kitchen, which is equipped for self-catering purposes, is available.
Grootkolk Wilderness Camp has no electricity but gas and solar energy is provided for the comfort of guests.
Attracting adventurous visitors who enjoy driving around the park on the lookout for the protected wildlife, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park offers several trails - some of them being only accessible by 4x4-vehicles.
The Predator Interpretation Centre at Nossob Camp and the Raptor Interpretation Centre at Mata-Mata offer ample opportunity for learning about the predators and birds of prey living in the Kgalagadi and the hide at the waterhole provides opportunity for close encounters with the wild animals.
