The magic of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park lies in the endless red sand dunes, absolute silence, peace and tranquillity and the slow movement of wildlife through the savannah and thick sand. To provide exclusivity and the ideal circumstances for experiencing the Kgalagadi magic, there are several wilderness camps in the Park where only a small number of 8 persons can be accommodated.
Rates are per night and exclude 1% community fund which will be added when booking.

There are 15 rustic desert tents, furnished and decorated with exquisite furniture and finished with wood, sand and canvas exteriors. This elegant camp is focused on the discerning visitor, blending into the natural environment with the decor reflecting the earthy colours and welcoming interior.
Enjoy the privilege of exclusive accommodation in this small and private camp and be on the lookout for hyenas and other wild animals that can roam into the unfenced camp.
There is a separate bathroom with a shower and toilet. A kitchenette and barbecue facilities are available on the wooden deck at each tent and guests have access to a swimming pool. Gas and solar energy is provided.

Kalahari Tented Camp has no electricity but gas and solar energy is provided for the comfort of guests. The camp is located 3 km from Mata-Mata Rest Camp where guests can refuel and get basic supplies at the shop.
Attracting adventurous visitors who enjoy driving around the park on the lookout for the protected wildlife, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park offers several trails - some of them being only accessible by 4x4-vehicles.
The Predator Interpretation Centre at Nossob Camp and the Raptor Interpretation Centre at Mata-Mata offers ample opportunity for learning about the predators and birds of prey living in the Kgalagadi and the hide at the waterhole provides opportunity for close encounters with the wild animals.
