Forming part of the Namaqua National Park, the Groenrivier Coastal Region is located between the Groen and Spoeg Rivers. The entrance gate at the Skilpad Section is the main entrance to the Park, but the Groen-Spoeg River Section can be entered at the Groenrivier office. This office is located 22 km from the nearest town of Kamieskroon.
Stretching along the beach from north to south, clusters of campsites are available, offering some low rock-wall windbreaks where adventurous campers can set up their own camps. These sites provide the perfect off-the-grid place for relaxing where none of the modern amenities are available and only peace, silence and tranquillity is offered.
